An entry for its blog

I think using blog to post students’ thoughts and communicate to each other is an interesting idea. But as the end of the semester is near and I think about it, I don’t really know if it is necessary to comment on other people’s entries. Most time I found the people who I responded to were having really similar ideas so I have to repeat the similar comment again and again. On the other hand, I don’t really have the time to go through all the thoughts and try to find out unique opinions. Therefore, I feel like I’ve been pushed to read other people’s blogs (not because they are boring). I really enjoyed writing about my thoughts on the blog, nevertheless at the same time I think we should have the freedom to decide whether or not we give comments to others. It did work well to refresh the memory of the class activities and related topics on certain topic assignments, and it probably will encourage non-participative type of people dive in to group activities in order to be able to write something about them after the class. In conclusion, I think the blog is more like a homework which separates from the true meaning of blog which is about free writing. However, doing so is much better than dreadful real homework so I have nothing to complain about it. I won’t keep posting my blog after the final because I have my only personal space as well, but I believe the experience of this class will be unforgettable.
now, it's time for the final!

Hi, I agree, it can be a little difficult posting replies, considering you dont want to write the same exact entry 3+ times just to fulfill your requirement. That's why it was pretty time consuming for me to do the blogs. First- trying to find bloggers who post on time, so that I can actually reply before the deadline (which I'm not even sure when the deadline is anymore). Second- I take the most time trying to reply for those where I believe I can provide good feedback, and not just write "I agree..." Well congrats on sticking through on it! Good luck on your finals!

I definitely agree with you on the replies but there is some sort of joy I found as well, in writing my own responses regardless of whether or not someone read my posts. I also thought it was very time consuming to find people to comment on since not everyone posts regularly and I didn't want to always post to the same people each time we had a new assignment. And in light of that- I also agree that it did feel "homework-y" because there were deadlines and certain questions that were posed on us that needed to be addressed and, as you said, defeats the purpose of the blog which is to free write on a topic.

Good luck on the final!

I understand what you mean by it being difficult to reply to other people's blogs. But I think I feel this way because this was an assignment and it was mandatory. But I still feel that this blog assignment was enjoyable because I was able to ignore the assignment aspect of the blog.

I preferred doing blogs rather than lengthy assignments or paper. In addition, I felt that I could learn a lot about how other people project on the same experiences which I got in the class.

Yeah, it is difficult to seeking through all blogs for comment part of our assignment. But we still need to take professor's original intention into account. He wants more communicate among classmates. So why not just spend some times to do it>-<
